Rich really liked. Peppery, little tangy but smooth. Air it. That really makes it nice — 6 months ago
Ruby red, forest floor, cranberry, tartness, and a medium finish. — 2 months ago
Iodine, earth, dirt, tannic. A big wine will easily hold up to steak or game. Orange peel, touch dark ripe cherries, spices (touch cinnamon), black tea leaves. Full of character and terroir driven. From South Africa. Decomposed Granite and volcanic rock. 13.5%. — 3 months ago
Tasting great right now. Needs about an hour of air and even better at 2-3hours. Cherries, minerals, game almost blood sausage like, pepper, hint of baking spice. It’s light despite these flavors. Initially it had a manure funk that has completely drifted away. A lot of tart cherry and berry smashed onto a stone plate. It’s really unique. Hope I have more of this one somewhere in the cellar. — 6 months ago
This wine is just getting good. A lot of baking spice, apple, dried herbs, cranberry, kind of like Thanksgiving sans turkey and potatoes. Really opens after 90 minutes of air. Outstanding — 2 months ago
Nose: baking spice.
Palate: gorgeous fresh juicy cherry fruit. — 4 months ago

Well, glad I kept this for another 6 years to see how it evolved. Cork was in amazing shape. Brick red. Almost tawny in glass. Dried flowers and herbs on the nose. Not a lot of fruit on the nose. Palate is more dried flowers, roses, leather, the faintest touch of pouch tobacco, plums, dried fig, maybe persimmon. It dries the mouth with tannin and acidity. Definitely secondary flavors starting. Probably the best wine deal I’ve ever had for this type of quality. Wish I had one more to try in 2028. — a month ago
