One of my reps had this on closeout. Delicious, 11 year old Mosel Riesling. Lots of petrol;, ripe peach, apple and apricot. Great acidity. — 4 months ago
Delicious and Prum-y — a month ago
Simply a brilliant Spätlese in a wonderful spot for early drinking at eight years of age, this 2016 Wehlener Sonnenuhr from S. A. Prum is a lighter example of the Prädikat, with a playful balance of apricots, nectarines and chamomile and zesty acidity that features limes and bitter orange. It produces a lovely harmony on the palate that serves as a reminder of how brilliant a style Spätlese can be in balancing Riesling’s acidity with its propensity toward a sweeter style. Lovely stuff. — 2 months ago
Fantastic wine. Barely any signs of aging. Beautiful fruit and acid. Really lovely. — 4 months ago
Would score a perfect 10 if not for the price. Big stone fruit. Great with spicy food. — a month ago
Ripe golden fruit balanced by a whisper of acid — 2 months ago
Belated notes on New Year’s Eve! Allison Oli wedding celebration dinner 10-7-24 Water Witch Club, “Uncle Jimmy” wine tasting table with vertical of Riesling and world tour of Pinot Noir. The Riesling vertical goes from 2009-2014 for three vintages. All three wines are pure Riesling excellence. Found out t Mosel Fine Wine newsletter rates this as the most underprepared and undervalued wine in the region. — 7 months ago

This is less sweet, and more straightforward, than the 2001 JJ Prum Wehlener Sonnenuhr Spatlese we drank recently, this is moderately sweet, nicely balanced, but the separator from the 2001 is the layers of depth and complexity of the 2001, although this is still quite good!! — 9 days ago
