This is your #riesling if you’re not a fan of the petrol / diesel notes, once this has had a chance to breathe a bit. While I don’t mind those, this is a nice alternative terroir expression - subtle floral and peach notes on nose. @Kurt Schuster is spot on with the crystalline descriptor. The palate is more about the luscious fruit texture backed by sturdy acidity and a touch of RS rather than a lot of complexity. Where else can you get #grandcru #alsaceriesling other than #costco for ~$18? — a year ago
Really good lean cooler, let it decent a bit to unwind and open up. I have no idea why it’s rated so low. You have to be down with a wine that isn’t only fruit. — 5 years ago

Decent for the money. Good value buy. Rather robust style. — 5 years ago
2011 is about the most solid Blaufrankish you can drink, excellent offering by Velich and Schuster under Moric. Their motto is “Fruit ferments. People ferment fruit. It’s a challenge.” 2011 is fresh black cherry, a funky acid core, with an after taste that lasts a weekend. Buy it all, it will last a decade and provide solid street cred with your wine snob friends. — 6 years ago
Weingut Müller-Grossmann, zum goldenen Hirschen, grüner veltliner 2021.
Flinty nose with silex and gun powder touches, some citrusy and flowery touches along with white pear and white pepper notes, and a tiny flowery impression. The palate shows a rather strong acid drive for a grüner Veltliner, which I like very much! Citrusy and peary notes all along, a tiny sweety spot in the midpalate before a long, flowery, citrusy finish that goes on for ever. A clear improvement over yesterday's effort. Pairing made in heaven with aspargus. 😍 — 8 months ago
