Riesling is under rated, this was bone dry acidic and declicious — a month ago
Like the 2014, a blast of stones and acids but with great depth and mature white fruits tinged with bits of oiliness that tangles on palate. Terrific nose and texture and finish. Wow. Didn’t quite match the Deiss Berg for the seafood pairing however. Wilson dinner 11/15/21. — 2 months ago
Despite 6y of age this retains a lot of freshness & sappiness. Ripe lemons, tangerine peel, slightly exotic yet still fresh.
On the palate this marries a highly intense exotic fruit profile with steely, lemony acidity. No creaminess here, and the flavor & acidic intensity borders almost on a tannic mouthfeel.
Great intensity, but also purity & length. — 4 months ago
There are upsides to global warming; this bottle makes an excellent argument for Mosel Cabernet being one of them. Soft, plush palate. Nose is correct and tertiary aromas recall a bordeaux of around 15 years of age. Beautiful fruit & winemaking. Worth seeking out. A lovely surprise. — a month ago
Stunning. None of the palate gap I’ve had in other frühburgunder. Huge fun in a blind lineup. — 2 months ago
Quite closed on the nose wi the some waxy aromas, baked lemon, stony, mineral accents, a touch of vineyard peach. Slightly evolved.
On the palate this starts with a creamy mouthfeel, some peach & ripe lemon, but there is more - depth, weight but also purity, a mineral backbone. Poised, balanced, elegant. Really elegant and quite serious. A beautiful wine. — 4 months ago
Beautiful color. Sweet, almost syrup like taste. Pears, honey, peaches. If you like Riesling you'll love this! — 25 days ago
Heerlijk toegankelijke wijn om aan te raden om op vrij koude temperatuur te drinken bij een borrelgelegenheid. Vrij mild qua smaak. — 2 months ago
Golden yellow, on the nose lemongrass, Kaffir lime, limestone with a hint of effervescent. Medium++ dry with a great floral taste. Remarkable vale for such Riesling — 3 months ago
