Les Barcillants Cornas Syrah 2019

Vintage 2019 | Walking on a barnyard, vanilla, stinky (positive!). Plums. Character. Good acidity, pleasant bitters. Balanced. Spices, cherries. As always tasted blind. In my notes: screames for a cheese. — 7 months ago

Aigle les Murailles Chasselas 2018

2018 vintage of my favorite Swiss grocery store wine (33% off at Coop!). Unique grape/region, mild, low acidity, bit of fizz. This time with saffron risotto and balsamic chicken cutlets. Merry Christmas Eve eve 😜 — 7 years ago

The Paul Pernot wines have always underwhelmed me. Pity.

Crozes-Hermitage Syrah 2019

Delicious wine from my brother. Thanks. Deep purple, lot going on here. It was a dinner party so I only got a glass and a half. :(. Excellent with beef stew and potatoes. — 7 months ago

Love this producer - CM so well made. Cream and butterscotch, some Carmel, of course there’s wonderful citrus on top. Love trying various vintages of this. Bravo — 7 years ago

La Chambée Condrieu Viognier 2019

Another solid vintage. Beautiful golden color. Aromas of stone fruit, honey and white flowers. Fruit salad flavors of peach, pear, apricot, nectarine and a bit of tropical fruit. A rich honey/beeswax note on the long finish. Silky/oily texture with low acidity. (Wine is still nicely balanced.) Quite vibrant and succulent with a lovely creamy structure. Solid value for Condrieu. Aged quite well. — 3 months ago

Honeyed and great intense zesty lemon. Minerality and electric detailed acidity… rich and punchy. Long. In great shape — 8 months ago
