Intense, vicious, great acidity, powerful. — 2 years ago
What a beautiful homage to Rhone wines. Leafy forest floor in the nose invites you in. And then it's an avalanche of complexity; a rainbow of leather, cacao, cardamom, granite, and just a touch of black currant and barnyard funk. Utterly delicious and delightful. — 5 years ago
this bottle takes me back to Alsace.
i spent a weekend in Strasbourg in 2006 protesting/partying in front of the European parliament that's located there.
no wine was tasted as i sticked to self imported bottle of zubrowka vodka, drops of potent LSD (that were dropped to the tail end of the vodka by a really short vicious smiling man - true story) and local pilsner beer that i remember fondly that's called 'meteor' and came in large 750ml bottles(pretty good ice cold and just ok after the sun warmed up the last 3rd of the bottle).
and now... 13 years later. different tastebuds. but I'm still the same person essentially.
100% pinot gris
off dry officially but feels dry.
14% ABV
pale green 👀
🧀 rind, green apple, pear, very fresh lemon and finely chopped greens👃
full body. I'm guessing the rs helps to build it.
medium plus acidity.
creamy, tart and a bit fruity with added white pepper and maybe even ginger 👄
long lingering pleasent creamy 🎯 like tasty and slightly bitter 🍬
great wine, no doubt about it.
tasty and complex, plays with you and changes every sip, but always superb.
excelent vfm (110 nis). expensive but works hard for your money.
need to try the winery Riesling now.
had it all day on it's own while vacationing.
soft and spicy cheese platter could have helped but I'm too full. — 7 years ago

Olivier’s craft is impeccable, even in Bourgogne.
Slightly sour Meyer lemons, lime zest, ripe pineapple flesh, green melons, cream, caramel & butterscotch notes, sea spray, oysters, volcanic minerals, shade of mushroom, sea fossils, some ginger, yellow flowers/lilies with greens, round vicious acidity, good balance, well knitted & elegant finish that lasts 90 seconds and long sets on minerals & spice.

Nice lees flavors, bread dough, cream, and brioche. Vicious acidity. — 3 years ago
At once silky smooth with a vicious bite! It stings your tongue and coats your throat. The aroma is intense. — 5 years ago
1895. Riiiiich. More vicious than other vintages I have had around this era. This is by far the best wine I have had in the pre 1960 era. Unbelievably deep and complex. — 9 years ago
What a color, pale garnet! Tar and leather on the nose... so much dark fruit (cassis) on the front palate, still tasting very young! Not as vicious tannins as you would expect from a Barolo. Very good balance of tannins and fruit flavors. This is another beauty from Kermit Lynch. — 9 years ago
Looks like a nice Columbia Valley Cab. Dark color. Heady and dense nose. Maybe a herbal and earthy streak in with the plum sauce on the nose. Flavors are chewy and vicious. Horehound meets berry cobbler and a bit of flint. Plenty bittersweet like a good Cab should be. Has a big style, but holds a bit of elegance as well. Will be great with the grilled steak I’m going to have with it later. A nice find at the grocery outlet 20% off wine sale. — a year ago
Pale, clean clear yellow w green rim. Nose of ripe melons, tropical fruits. Palate mixes creamy, fruit richness of papaya w both a sapid, ivy leaf, herbal note and a gently peppery, papaya seed spice. All balanced but a very rich, vicious, medium plus body, that feels low in acid, bit has ample CO2 to keep things fresh. Engagingly complex on pnp. — 4 years ago
Intensely flavored and deep with a vicious and concentrated texture. Baked apples and peaches, honeycake and marzipan. Long and balanced finish. — 7 years ago
Vicious attack of VA that falls away after 15 minutes. Unveiled, is fresh & punchy black & red berries. Major fruit depth boomerangs from tart to ripe, with balanced VA that lifts its secondary notes. Lovely Cote du Py indeed from 2011 — 9 years ago
Gorgeously saline, an initial plasticine aroma blows off to reveal orange blossom, roasted pecan, citrus peel, maple candy. Vicious acidity marries will with off-dryness but the acid carries the day. Finish lasts a solid minute. I love this as much as I hate port. — 9 years ago
