I love it when domestic Merlots stretch beyond their simple grapes and take on complexities of their own characteristics. Lovely medium-full body contains the boisterous fruit, and wisps of flint, earth, and anise. — 7 months ago
Bright, acidic berries and just a touch of minerals. Delicious and interesting - a solid beaujolais homage. — a year ago
An earthy base takes front stage with this Temprenillo. Flavor-wise, black raspberry, herb, and tea leaves float around in a nicely balanced acidic structure. Delicious! — 4 months ago
Stunning balance and fruit! I may not have been expecting the delicate layers of this Honky Tonk Girl, but I sure appreciated it. Every sip made me close my eyes and sink into the cherries, strawberries, and dried leaves. — 5 months ago
Considering the bruiser powerhouse grapes in attendance here, one would think the collective presences would cancel each other out. Instead, Tank has cultivated intense juice in a perfectly balanced medium of deep cherry, currants, whispered tannins, and a nebulous finish. Very hard to only have one glass. — 10 months ago
Big and juicy currant with a tannic tang. Soul Fuel is a big talker, but it's one of those gregarious wines that you could spend a while evening with. — 5 months ago
What a refreshing petit nat. Lots of minerality and not too much acidity, with just a hint of stone fruit. Made me wish it was a hot summer day! — 5 months ago
What a beautiful homage to Rhone wines. Leafy forest floor in the nose invites you in. And then it's an avalanche of complexity; a rainbow of leather, cacao, cardamom, granite, and just a touch of black currant and barnyard funk. Utterly delicious and delightful. — 8 months ago
Way more interesting than its price (but not its label!) infers. Loam and forest floor in the nose, raging currant, ash, and minerals in the mouth. I guess the syrah gives it the body, but it still surprised me. Love it! — 2 years ago

Full-bodied (for a rose), bubbly, and just enough complexity to keep you interested without losing you. I'm very inexperienced with bright Barbera fruit in a rose, and even more so with a petit nat carrying those elements. This is the best summer wine I've had in a long time. — 23 days ago
