Vengeance

Napa Valley Proprietary Red Blend

Blackberry pie,
The sweetness of the blackberry nose follows into the first sip. Rich, ripe black fruit, lingers on with very nice northern Rhone like feel. Some of that pie crust here as well, not overbearing, not sweet as sugar, yet as fruit. A really nice body, one that could be an easy Cali bottle in the rack.
Worth’s tipple - Def second bottle.

Caymus Vineyards

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

Jammy fruit forward jihad bomb combined with purple octopus ink color, elegant ripeness, legs like Cindy Crawford, and stinky Pepé Le Pew perfume aromatics. This bottle possessed me with the vengeance of the exorcist. — 8 years ago

Jack's Masterpiece Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

A bit flat on opening. Mouthfeel is great with up front fruit but not too much tannins. On day 2 it came with a vengeance with lots Of character and varying mid palate for a better dryer finish. — 8 years ago

Folicello

Il Rosso Emilia Lambrusco

I’ve always been a big Lambrusco fan, and at times that set me at odds with some friends who would find Lambrusco too sweet or too frizzy (read Fanta-like). I feel like this wine is my vengeance. Gorgeous, dry Lambrusco, feels like you’re biting into a plum but without the sugar. Am buying two to keep! — 4 years ago

Giacomo Fenocchio

Bussia Barolo Nebbiolo 2013

At first, painfully tannic. Decanted for about 4 hours and it became a little softer while maintaining the beautiful aromatics, and lessening the attack of the medicinal cherry. On the finish are florals and leather with tannins returning with a vengeance. It may be hard to tell, but I loved it. — 6 years ago

Palumbo Family

Sophia's Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Opens up with dust and stewed fruit (but not yet "prune-y") and hints of spice. In the mouth, dark and broody. With that dust and spice coming back with a vengeance on the finish. Mouth-dryingly tannic still and yet oh-so-velvety-smooth! — 7 years ago
