The color was light and straw colored. Hardly looked like a 23 yr old wine. Fresh and delicate.

Deliciously complex. A bit of a burnt toast/hair whiff but a little swirling coaxes out wax and honeyed fruit.

Fascinating wine, distinct aroma of fresh mushrooms, very unusual in a white, this would be an interesting one to play with wine pairings, something that demands high acid with this extreme earthiness, maybe escargot? Or cassoulet? Either way, special to encounter a wine with such a distinct personality.

Drinking great. The zip vs the texture is perfect right now. Right on the edge of the knife. Could tip either way. And the fruit & mineral qualities pop. Impressive.

Last day at The Nomad treat! Everything you want from a Chenin with age. Smells like dried earth, honeycomb and wax on the nose- palate is lively youthful citrus and mineral.

Tons of acid and fresh flavors, but also some oxidative notes. Impressive energy, but is having a bit of an identity crisis and doesn't have much stuffing. Fun, though.
