Not a fan of most Chinons Blanc, as they often start life lean and mean, then go absolutely nowhere. This, however, is that rare exception: already tender and alluring, showing acacia, melon, honeysuckle and wet gravel, with an unctuous texture and a fair dash of residual sugar (albeit perfectly balanced by massive acids). Fabulous. — 4 days ago
Clear blackberry, cherry, and other dark fruit notes. — 10 hours ago
Raspberry bramble, sage, black pepper, and flinty mineral notes on the nose. Medium body with black cherry and juicy plum on the palate, nice n spicy with grippy tannins at the end. Notes of green pepper emerge after some decanting. Pair with tomato based stews and sauces, duck, venison. Good value — 21 days ago
100% cabernet franc. without added sulphites. unfiltered wine, very natural. A delight of freshness. very lively wine on fresh black fruits: blueberries, blackcurrants, blackberries. complex notes of copper, tobacco ... deep, dense with a beautiful freshness, and a light final. magnificent ! — 5 days ago
Juicy perfectly ripe wild raspberry. Integrated pepper notes. Fresh mineral finish. Mid to full body. — 7 days ago
Nose of wet earth, green bell pepper, grass clippings, violet, and a touch of beef fat.
Lots of floral notes and the palate with good red fruit acidity. Tannins are fairy course and leave a good bit of astringency with nice minerality.
Classic and rustic cab franc which I love. I understand how the green and earth notes could be off-putting for some though. — 19 days ago
Initially dank / musty, but after an hour + in the decanter, it really shined. Killer earthy, herbal notes, red & black cherry & blackberry. — a day ago
