Tried again! Blend of 80% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Chardonnay, medium lemon with aromas of white flesh fruit, citrus and floral blossoms. On the palate flavors of ripe apple and citrus with floral spice. Long finish, lively acidity, nice body and texture due to Chardonnay, ending with citrus and mineral notes. Very nice! — 14 days ago
Nice Brunello but not really singing at this point in its evolution. Also bearing some characteristics of the ripe / hot year, though to be honest less than I feared. Opened in the morning and by dinner was drinking well, at least when paired with some nice prime burgers. — 9 days ago
Perhaps the best example of resiling I have ever had the opportunity to sample.
Dry, but lots of honey on the finish. Pear up front. One of my favorite whites — 5 days ago
Vino amaro still counts!! Savory marjoram pine menthol rosemary blueberry. Marsala based, very alpine. — 6 days ago
Much better than my last rating of this wine…Nobile …100% Sangiovese, but soft palate with recognized classic character in this vino…fine to elegant with great taste, medium-full bodied, berries deep and dark…dry balanced vino. Drink again! Great winemakers…Avignonesi! — a month ago
Right in the Chianti Classico sweet spot. Resolved tannin and acid support rich black and red fruit. Pruny, but still bright. Bone dry Amarena cherries, but no rs. Oak in balance. Expensive cigarettes. I wonder about this in 5, 10, 15 yrs… — 17 days ago
