This is exceptional wine, the best example of Barbera I have had. Savoury, slightly bitter, aromatic, slightly tannic, some acid. Perfect with a puttanesca sauce. — 2 months ago
Rich red in color with medium plus intensity.
Fruit forward on the nose with red fruits and light oak.
Medium bodied with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing red cherries, raspberries, herbs, coffee, light oak, chocolates and peppercorn.
Nice finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 7 year old Barolo is already drinking very nicely, but still young and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly.
Spicy and entertaining. Easy drinking and engaging. Elegant with good structure.
Nicely balanced and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.
Good right out of the bottle, and better with airtime.
100% Nebbiolo grapes were aged in large oak barrels for 3 years.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
91 points.

2021 vintage. A bit of everything. Esteemed producer. Excellent nose. Front-palate richness. Mid-palate power and presence. Pleasantly astringent and beyond substantial finish. I usually eschew Barbera d'Alba for the resto list but couldn't deny this one. Picked up two cases and may pick up more to have laying around for 1.5-2 years. At the ridiculous resto price of $26.67, I can't afford not to. So delicious. 01.29.25. — 25 days ago
