Nice value for the easy drinking 15% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon & 70% Sangiovese blend, two-thirds of wine aged 12 months in French oak. Deep Ruby with fresh red berry aromas and some herb spice. On the palate flavors of black cherry, plum, cacao and licorice. Fine tannins, medium+ finish, good balance with acidity, ending with tobacco and oak on the finish. — a month ago

Last had nearly two years ago, and this seems even more closed than then. Decanted 5 hours but didn’t really open all that much. Tons of cherry on the nose, which is nice. But the palate is quite unexpressive and the finish is overwrought with dusty tannins still. Another 5 years? — 3 months ago

First 2024 wine!! This is really excellent - haven’t had this grape (albana) before. Orange but in the way that I like - no overly “natural” funk and instead just excellent stony fruit and some great grip. Very juicy and almost savory with a long finish. Great value at $22. — 4 months ago
