Zero pre-knowledge and I loved what I discovered. I didn’t realize this had a good nine years of age. It’s also the second Tokaji I’ve opened recently backed by Vega Sicilia. It has a golden copper hue. Concentrated syrup of sour apricots, lychee and starfruit with spiced edges. Canned fruit cocktail and cinnamon. — 8 days ago
Super tasty. Like a twist on Chenin but with some tantalizing savory notes to the peach fruit that had us coming back for more. — 7 days ago
With aurie. Very light body but really refreshing and nice — 5 days ago
Very fresh and clean. Citrusy. Not spicy like most Furmints. — 21 hours ago
Weird. Smells like oak then cherries.
Tastes very tart then mellows in to cherry, has almost a heat to it that hits the back of the throat. Tartness at the end that almost feels like tannins but isnt. — 7 days ago
Ginger, honeysuckle, tangerine, Creme Fraiche, acacia, white blossom, yellow raisin, fresh herbs. Creamy and intense on the palate. Glorious gold color. — 4 days ago
2016. I’ve really liked the dry furmint that I’ve had, and this wine is no exception. Crisp, fruity and floral, and at 12% abv, easy to enjoy a few glasses! — 11 days ago
