This is Sequoia Groves entry level Napa Cab, but it punches well above its price point. At 5 years old it was a Lucious, fruit forward cab that paired well with a variety of food, especially red meat. Nice nose, It Also enhances the flavor of chocolate. Very approachable wine. Light straw color. Aromas of peaches, freshly baked bread, white flowers and tropical fruits. Very pleasant tropical fruit medley on the palate as well along with hints of apple, lemon, brioche and spiced nuts. Interesting salty/mineral note on the finish. Bright and acid driven. Creamy mouthfeel and smooth texture but (according to the winemaker) it does not come from oak aging. (Lees contact). Great value! — 9 months ago
Literally tastes like a starburst. Magic — 5 months ago
Singing right now. As good a Lynch Bages as I have had. Still nice dark fruit - dark cherry on the nose and a hint of tobacco. Smooth and well balanced on the palate with an elegant, smooth, super long finish — 6 months ago
Crafted by Joseph J. Wagner, 4th generation winemaker, with winemaking roots in the Napa Valley since 1906. Deep Ruby with red berry fruit aromas, tea and sweet spice notes. On the palate flavors of jammy blackberry and cherry with pronounced sweet vanilla oak, cacao and pepper spice notes. Soft tannins and bright acidity, well balanced, with mineral tones on a long finish ending with toasty spice! Nice! — 9 months ago
