Pale yellow in colour. Aromatics of Smoky Citrus rind. The medium bodied palate shows ripe grapefruit with citric acid toning down at 10 years of age. This is one of the best Chardonnays in Margaret River - up there with Leeuwin Estate Art Series without the latter wine’s ripe pear and white peach. This is a brilliant Chardonnay by any measure. @Doug Powers Yes it is a producer that has had many successes. The first vines In Margaret River planted in the 1960’s?by Dr Tom Cullity; a highly skilled long serving winemaker in Virginia Willcock and the vast financial resources of the owners, the wealthy Holmes-a-Court family.

On the palate flavors of blackberry, black cherry and plum, with cacao, tobacco and oaky notes. Nice balance, soft chewy tannins, long finish ending with creamy vanilla spice and cedar character.
