Deep purple color, aromatics a bit reticent. Dark fruit, good acidity with palpable tannins. A wine of great structure. Perfect food wine. We just loved it. With rosemary Tails and Trotters rib pork chops smoked over pecan wood in the BGE. Lucky us!

Excellent, if anything was off was that it was younger than I was expecting. Easily has another 10+ years to go. Smoke, leather, game, and spice accent mature black cherry and blackberry fruits. Some forest floor secondary mature notes give away the age factor.

Decanted it. Earth, wood, dark fruit. Low acid, balanced, structured but subtle and elegant. Wowee zowee.

Incredibly disappointing. Green pepper leather and blah. Maybe just a bad bottle. Was bought from Italian wine merchants and stores in temp cellar since arrival.

Still quite young with much tannic grip. Tar and leather, tobacco and a funk on the nose. Currants. Dark and smoky. More Kaa the snake then Baloo the bear.
