Antica Terra
Botanica Willamette Valley Pinot Noir

Has the same fruit as the testarosssa but with that acid on the back end that is always there with Oregon

I know I’m supposed to be gaga over this. Don’t get me wrong. It’s great! But it needs a lot more time. That’s on me. I opened it early. It’s very hot. And floral. I want to see it in 5 years.

Absolutely fantastic. Chocolate covered black cherries, and dsnces on the tongue (apparantly...according to Dave). Actually the best incarnation of Botanica since the 2009. Awesome.

Incredibly floral and aromatic. Laced with spice and juicy red berry fruits with an underlying note of minerality highlighting its tension. Looking forward to tasting this again after a few years of bottle age. It should evolve nicely. I can’t rave enough about Antica Terra’s wines.

Great wine- starts out light and gets a full, bold flavor profile over time as you make your way through the bottle. Enjoyed this antica terra with a 5 course meal at Cafe Monarch in Scottsdale. Server Chris was awesome.

May 16th, 2018Enjoying a night on the town in NYC. First up is a seductive Pinot Noir from Oregon. Elegant hints of rose pedals, dried fruit and a little spice on the nose. A surprisingly big wine with full bodied tastes of dried figs, dark plums, licorice and baking spices. The acidity is spot on and the tannins are ultra sleek. An excellent long lasting finish makes you want another glass of this wine. Lisa and I both love it!
