Always a solid bet. Toro wines are typically hard beasts but this one displays elegance and finesse which is hard to resist. Yes, there’s plenty of oak here but I’ve found that, with time, it tones down and blends a bit more with the red and black fruits. Great value alternative to Ribera del Duero and even some Napa Cabs. — 5 years ago
Gorgeous expression of Sauvignon Blanc. Strong passion fruit aroma leads to lemongrass and pears highlighted by a subtle mineral streak almost like chalkiness. Beautiful wine; very refreshing with crisp acidity and verve. Curious to see how this would perform 3-5 years from now. — 5 years ago
I was lured to try this considering a few comments here comparing it a bit to Gamay so was curious to try it out. Nice Bourgogne rouge with typical varietal characteristics of raspberries and strawberries. Has a lovely rose petal aroma I really liked. Good value overall. Paired well with simple mushroom pizza. — 5 years ago
A little too jammy for my taste and lacked acidity. Big, bold fruit with lots of oak. Needs time to settle but just didn’t love it. — 5 years ago
Incredible value. Can’t believe this costs $20+. Kermit Lynch selection. Beautiful bouquet of red fruits and delicate floral elements. Acidity is right on point and its silky mouthfeel is delightful. Seek this out and enjoy with simple roast chicken. 60% Carignan from vineyards planted in 1904, 30% Grenache and 10% Mourvedre. Soil: Silica, clay and limestone. — 5 years ago
Feels balanced. Loved the texture of this wine. Very smooth with polished tannins. A little Bordeaux-esque. Menthol, black cherries and black currant. Needs some time to breathe so a quick decant is recommended. Overall, a great effort. Very impressed with this winery. For $20, it’s a great option worth seeking out again. — 5 years ago
Mostly Viura with Garnacha Blanca and Malvasia. Complex and aromatic with mouthwatering acidity. — 5 years ago
