What a nose. Embers, smoke, spice, loam, superbly mineral and almost saline. Beautiful cherry fruit under it all. Dark and so perfumed. Huge spice and aromatic depth while also being a kind of restrained wild. Lovely, penetrating aromas. Can’t get enough. Palate has just ridiculous juicy and dense fruit with substantial tannins. Bright cherry fruit and wonderful freshness. Huge acids. Terrific concentration, freshness and energy. This is so complete. A baby but still delicious. Leaves a fruit/tannin impression for minutes. Very solid 9.4. — 16 days ago
Cloudy magenta in the glass, there’s a unique fruit profile here... intense nose of pomegranate, cranberry, and crunchy underripe fruit. There’s also an unusual funk here - not barnyard or earth, but an almost cheesy or buttermilk thing. Low tannin, high acid, decent length. Wife hated it, and I get why... I loved it with a slight chill! — 16 days ago
Popped and poured. This was a major departure from the Baudana enjoyed just before. The nose was more fruit forward with black currants in front of dried leaf tobacco, leather and cocoa notes. On the palate, this is pretty luxurious and round with luscious fruit. Very easy to drink and very well made. My only frustration is that it comes across as a wine that could sort have come from just about anywhere. But it’s undeniably good. — 13 days ago
San Guido’s third wine, great bang for the buck! Tight at first but opened up rather quickly. Leather nose, cherry and oak and a ting of plum and pine in the finish. Young but yum. — 17 days ago
A beautiful light cherry red color in the glass. The nose blooms with floral notes, dried cherries, and soft herbs. This is one of those wines that you would file under easy drinking or fun, but that’s no reason to not take it seriously. After getting plenty of air, it’s so inviting and gracious. Perfectly sweet with just the right amount of fruit, it always keeps an even keel. Layered fruit and spices on the mid palate. Raspberry and cherry are dominant on the palate, along with oak, herbs, and spice. A touch of leather and violets round things off. Tiny production but a truly outstanding wine. If you like standard California Mourvèdre then you may be looking in the wrong place. This is so far above the norm. — 8 days ago
This Italian white wine sports a nose full of minerals and hard citrus with a nice savory streak to back it up. The straw-colored juice has a fantastic salinity on the palate, which is mostly minerals. The mouthfeel is a bit fuller than expected, but acidity is bright and fresh. Pair this wine with seafood, especially shellfish or a creamy chowder.

We buy this wine a lot. They deliver to the Bible Belt yet this bottle was weird. The cork read Louis Jadot. It’s clearly Italian wine. I inquired about this and learned corks come from Portugal.
I’m literally consuming grapes whilst dropping knowledge you all prolly knew. 💁🏻♀️ — 9 days ago
