1997 Gaja Sori San Lorenzo. Drank with burgers. Decanted 30 mins before drinking. Next time, should decant much sooner - maybe 1.5 hours prior to drinking. Barnyard and forest floor early on. After about an hour, nose shifted to dark fruit, gravel, cocoa, with a great mouthfeel. Tannins def developed over time in the decanter.

This tasted like a 10 yr old wine so youthful & structured. Lots of dark fruits, spice, leather & tobacco.

Feb 2nd, 20191997 Gaja Sori San Lorenzo. Drank w K, DS, Andy at Toscana. Super balanced, but the nose wasn't particularly memorable. We favoured the Riserva Soldera over this.
