Garnet transparent. Oak. Cherry, raisin, leather, spices, licorice. Tannic, acidic at initial. One hour, getting smoother. But lots of tannin. 2nd day, much better!! 3rd day, tannin is better than before. 4th day, still good. Quite robust and powerful. It should be good 10 years later to wait for tannins’ melt. Popped and poured; enjoyed over several hours. Clearly showing the solar nature of the vintage, the 2015 Fèlsina CCR pours a deep garnet color with a near opaque core. Medium viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of stewed cherries and strawberries, well-oiled leather ball glove, red flowers, curaçao, dried green herbs, and sandalwood. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes of the nose. The finish is long, tart and satisfying with ferrous minerals. A lovely pairing with Conchiglie Ripiene. While this is fully mature, it still has a healthy life ahead. Drinking very well now and should through 2030 with ease. — a year ago
