All spice, pepper. Sweet dark currant. Old Cal Cab is fun. Impressed this aged well. — 5 years ago
This bottling is based on the same grapes as the winery's estate bottlings, and the result is a generous, rich wine, with a lot of baking spice and leather aromas. The palate is packed with ripe black-cherry and black-plum flavors, showing a slightly warm feel, but also lots of good acidity and a round, mouth-filling texture. — 5 years ago
Amazing 🤩🤩🤩🤩 silky and refreshing thanks @Steven Heydemann ✌️✌️☺️☺️☺️☺️ — 8 years ago
Maliciously magnificent and majestically magical with it's masterful maelstrom of mature marjoram and fruit marmalade...among the best man may make. Stellar. Just a straight up stupendous stabber with it's stupefyingly sturdy structure, stand-alone stone fruit and St. Steven ordained staginesses right out of the stable. — 8 years ago

I was surprised of the approachable nature of this Grand Crú at such a young age. It is fuller than most Burgundy. Still elegant but robust. Great recommendation from the Sommelier Steven Bono. Might have find this and lay down a few years. Excellent juice. — 2 years ago
Blackberry, vanilla, raspberry, eucalyptus, cherry, and oak. Full-bodied and velvety tannins. — 5 years ago
Juicy, still a crispy minerality to it! — 6 years ago
This is the lencioni single vineyard. 2013 was the first vintage. It was obviously the weaker sibling of all the single vineyards for that year. Kinda thin and simple. However, the winemaker adapted to the vineyard because this is a much stronger showing. It's the most western vineyard (livermore is east-west so west means cooler...think oak knoll equivalent). It is hillside. Again, a cabernet style that is going for acidity and elegance. Olive along with fruit. 90-91 — 8 years ago

Hen of the Wood. Great even spectrum wine — 9 years ago
One of the first wines I tasted on recent Tuscany visit celebrating @Steven Perlman. I remember it being soft, open, and refreshingly unadorned stylistically, a very nice vino nobile for current quaffing — 3 years ago

I think this is my favorite wine from steven kent. Would love to try this against some good vintage lineages. It's got a great nose, mouth watering acid and flavors, and enough tannins to get your attention. Not dark dark fruit. More mixed with prominent red fruit. Really in a nice spot. These wines are really meant to have this kind of age on them. — 9 years ago

Definitely got earth and a little band aid/age. Which surprises me for a 2013. Little olive. Reminds me of steven kent here in livermore. The tannins and fruit suggest many many years ahead of this wine. I dig it for the price. This will probably be fantastic in 10 years. — 9 years ago
