Les Faconnières Morey St. Denis 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2010

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of lunch. The 2010 “Les Falconnières” pours a garnet color with a transparent core; medium viscosity with light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe and slightly desiccated red fruits: strawberries, raspberries, red flowers, mushrooms, forest floor, warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. This is in a really lovely spot. drink now through 2035. — 22 days ago

Benedicte & Stephane Tissot Chateau-Chalon Vin Jaune Savagnin 2016

An incredibly powerful, oxidative wine from Jura. The intensely nutty, salty, oily, honied flavors were magical with the “Pastured chicken, preserved lemon, garlic confit” dish which tasted braised and white-saucey.
This would also be perfect with stinky cheese!

Domaine des Chers Vieilles Vignes Julienas Gamay 2019

The nose is typical with cherry, Raspberry, hay, Cola, even... This is quite welcoming. The palate shows some matter and a great acid drive. There are cherry notes dancing all along the acid drive, some width and some nice, a tiny bit thicker than usual mouthfeel. Some lively tannins kick in in the rear before a fruity finish with some salty, meaty touches in the end. This is a beautiful Julienas and I'm glad I have another bottle to leave on the side for a while. — 2 years ago

Domaine de la Madriere Vieilles Vignes Fleurie Gamay 2021

Snappy #fleurie - restrained red fruit, cranberry aromas. Tart crunchy cranberry, cherry, touch of spice and light tannins on the finish. Maybe not the most complex #crubeaujolais but satisfying nonetheless. — 3 months ago

Domaine Michel Briday

Rully Chardonnay 2021

Pale lemon with aromas of white stone fruits, citrus, honey and floral scents, sourced from 4 different vineyards, exemplifying Rully terrior. On the palate flavors of peach, pear and lemon, well balanced, crisp, lively acidity, medium+ length ending with notes of vanilla, spice and chalky mineral character. — 6 months ago
