Ottimo! A Borgo Antico (Grottammare AP) — 4 months ago
The is a medium bodied wine with a light greenish straw color. Aromas of citrus blossom and white peaches . With flavors of tangerine, lime, white peach and a pleasant hint of mineral & acidity. Very crisp, smooth and enjoyable! — 4 months ago

I had a long note for this. I went to take another sip before finishing the note and the app lost it. The sip was more important and more valuable than the note. This is the height of Nebbiolo and Barbaresco. My patience was incredibly rewarded. This has the stuffing to go the distance but I didn’t miss a thing at 18 years. I’ll end it there. #gratefulforgreatwine — 5 months ago
Fully mature and one of the better 93s I’ve tasted. One of the earlier vintages after Roagna bought La Roca e la Pira vineyards in Barolo, extending beyond their base in Barbaresco. The cork on this wine still has the imprint of Roagna Barbaresco, so the transition to Castiglione Falletto was still underway. Really wonderful wine with classic tertiary notes of tobacco, leather, smoke, and dark berry fruit. Tannins fully resolved. Good balance and depth. Time to drink up for sure, but very enjoyable. — 4 months ago

A med+ ruby red core, with lighter ruby edges. The nose show dark cherry, dark plum and blackcurrants, violet florals with the classic Syrah notes of intense olive tapenade and white pepper. The palate is med/med+ bodied with youthful, med/med+ tannins, and a wonderful palate with good persistence and freshness, a lot of flavor without the weight. The finish is long, fresh and subtly spicy and primary. Lots of life left here, drink now with at least a 1 hour decant (more if you have time) or hold, will go 10-15 years easy in the cellar. — 19 days ago
