Elyse

Korte Ranch Vineyard Zinfandel 2016

Ming L
9.2

This Zin continues to impress me. Plum, blueberry, fig, black pepper, espresso, and light tobacco. Juicy and smooth on the palate. Round acidity and tannins. Lingering candied and smoky finish.
Paring with burger is as good as it gets. Fantastic value for a single vineyard bottling from St. Helena.

15 years young. Still going strong. Tannins and fruits still doing their job. Delicious. — 11 days ago

Campbell Ranch Vineyard Syrah 2018

True cool site Sonoma coast Syrah in the hands of talented winemakers is criminally underrated. Delicious first night, falls apart overnight in the fridge. Beware. — 10 days ago

Money Road Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

Happy Father’s Day! PnP’d. Very similar to previous notes. Very enjoyable but restrained on the nose and palate. Lovely texture and depth. Amarone characteristics. — 11 days ago

Desire Lines Wine Co.

Cole Ranch Mendocino County Riesling 2020

Delectable Wine
9.3

Desire Lines' Riesling Cole Ranch is racy and rich in 2020. Lemon confit orchard fruit, jasmine and light tropical accents are front and center. I suppose the 2020 is perhaps a bit less varietal than it can be, but soft, creamy contours more than compensate. The 2020 is a delicious wine to enjoy over the coming years. Purple Hands

Lone Oak Ranch Pinot Noir 2020

Pinot Noir blend of fruit from eight different Willamette vineyards. Beautiful organic-based nose of mushroom, tobacco, lavender and freshly turned wet soil. Just a bit of dark cherry. The pallet is light with black cherry, cranberry and black raspberry fruit with some notes of cola and spice. Light color and body. Elegant. Excellent QPR for a Willamette Pinot. Thank you for sharing, Kase! — 12 days ago

Howell Mountain Vineyards

Beatty Ranch Zinfandel 2017

Telltale earthy black peppercorn scents are there, with ripe and focused dark blackberry. Great flavor concentration in the mouth, with electric acids pushing it along. Palate has equal measure earthy barky notes and intense fruit. — 25 days ago
