This is a very tasty Riesling from Napa Valley.
Medium-bodied with medium-plus acidity.
Dry on the palate with a smooth, creamy mouthfeel.
This 6 year old is showing lemons, yellow apples, petrol, plastic, cream, earth, minerals, herbs, sea salt and white pepper.
I had it a year ago, and it seems like it is less fruit forward now.
Spicy and entertaining. Good by itself or with food. Showing nice complexity and better when not too cold.
12.8% alcohol by volume.

Trying an aged Howell Moutain. Ripe blackberry, prunes, bramble, leather, melty rubber, gas station fumes, candied pecans and cola on the nose. Mellowed and integrated ripe blackberry, prunes, char, vanilla on the palate, with some herbal spice and black tea on a nice long finish. Looks like folks weren’t impressed by the other reviews but I really liked it. :) — 3 days ago
Last night I opened this 2019 Juan Gil Silver Label Monastrell. This is from the Bodegas Juan Gil Jumilla, Spain, 100% Monastrell (Mourvèdre).
On the nose there is black plum, blackberry, blueberry, black pepper, violet, gravel and earth.
On the palate there is blackberry, blueberry, plum, black cherry, black pepper, spice, soft oak, gravel and earth.
This is a full bodied wine with a smooth sweet juicy mouthfeel medium + acidity and medium supple tannins that move smoothly into a long black & red fruit earthy finish. We are on another weekend and I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend planned. Please stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 18 days ago
Birthday and Father’s Day celebrations. Special treat from a client. Black Sears Vineyard living up to all I have heard. Rich dark fruit, blackberry pie in a glass, soft tannins, a very balanced wine, served with smoked bbq beer can chicken, roasted veggies and potatoes. Spices from the chicken pairing very well. What a nice treat. Well done Mr. Arcudi! — 5 days ago
