Delicious, sweet, drink with salt or lemon — 3 days ago
Slipper Sippers is a wine you’d expect from Las Jaras and his royal Heimess. If you know Eric Weirheim (Aziz teddy bear best on Master of None) and his propensity for cooking circle foods and pet names, then you get why this is called Slipper Sippers.
It’s playful and also very good and also way reasonably priced. Las Jaras’s contribution to the Nouveau genre (grapes picked in 2020).
Spiced cherry cola, blueberry syrup, and crushed raspberries with their seeds.

Delightful wine. Worthy of celebration, to be sure, but strong and lively enough for a complex meal. The yeast has an applewood tang on the nose. There an almond depth to the apple/pear fruit, and the tight mousse keeps the acidity alive on your tongue as the slate minerality emerges on its long finish. Yum. — a month ago
2017 vintage. Solid CS, balanced, good structure, smooth, mild nose. long afertaste — a month ago
Tuesday the 26th of January was Australia Day and a public holiday. What better way to celebrate than Australia’s best fizz Arras Grand Vintage from Tasmania. Quite light lemon in colour. Very citrussy and mineral on the nose. 7 years on Lees showing in the complexity of the palate which still shows tension and refreshment. See previous notes for the 2007 which was slightly better and Champion Wine of the Royal Brisbane Show. — 2 days ago
Decanted overnight, was delicious next day — 23 days ago
Blackberry/black cherry upfront, then a burst of tannins and a raisin finish. Great on its own, with cheese, or in wassail — a month ago
