On the first night, even with a two hour decant, the 2015 Marcenasco from Renato Ratti didn’t show as well as it did the second – by which point it had knitted together much better. One of the few rose wines I adore. 100% Nebbiolo from Valtellina. Nose is light but vivid cherry and some tobacco and tar. Gorgeous clarity. So much energy and precision and so so juicy. What a wine.
