Muddy pale ruby. Super expressive; pure sweet strawberry with spine of cedar spice. Different. Sweet red fruit, delicate mouthfeel, but powerful flavour. Classic power without weight. Low acid and tannin but not without length.

Pale color belies its intensity. Enjoying a lovely dinner at Vue de Monde with renato and albane the sommelier.

Serious earthy, austere nose. Plumb and sandalwood, soft fine tannins. Decent structure. Sweet fruit. VG. XMas dinner on the river with my girls.

2004. Couldn't be anywhere but Gippsland. Balanced. Something tart on the finish but a lovely drink all in all. Cherries, herb. Maybe a year past its best. 90 or 91. Somewhere there.
