Delicious wine, and it’s not typically a style I enjoy. Cranberry, raspberry, and red currant on the nose & palate. Rust and tart red fruit on the front. Medium-plus acidity. Medium body. Fruit throughout. Tart, almost sour finish that’s balanced by tons of red fruit and subtle cocoa. Excellent with food and on its own. — 4 months ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2020 “Les Enseignères” pours a luminous, light straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with bright notes of apple, starfruit, lemon, a touch of almond, and limestone minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium plus. Quite tasty in its relative youth. Drink now through 2035. — 6 months ago
Clean! 2012 BBM is in a terrific place, all about richness and intensity with deep complex layers of butterscotch, spiced orchard fruit and candied white flowers laced with minerality. The palate is voluptuous with tremendous density and volume and a finish that keeps on going. Top notch white burg! — 3 months ago
