Classic and proper Margaux. Lacks a bit of mid palate. — 2 months ago
An unconventional white blend from a 4th Growth Chateau on the left bank of Bordeaux.
70% Sauv Blanc, 30% Sémillon, provides a feast of Quincy and lemon peel aromas and flavors. Light and refreshing, young and lively. Dry, and some mineralized mouthfeel. Less than a 1,000 cases produced. Lovely! — 18 days ago
Wine is dark ruby, with purplish on the edge. On nose its ripe fruit, floral parfumed, oak in there, violets, tobacco. On palate, wine is full bodied, jammy, fine acidity, tannic, wine is open up after 1 hour decant. The intensity is there. Its still too young to drink. Try it after 2026. Red bordeaux blend, Cheers! — a month ago
Excellent wine, although a bit more expensive than my usual bottle (from Pine Creek Wines) — 3 months ago
Stone and minerals. Somewhat closed. — 22 days ago
Very enjoyable left bank bottling for $35 on the shelf, if not pretty closed. Decanted for 2+ hours and was just starting to reveal itself, still somewhat shy after 4+. Blackberry, stewed mulberry, earth, coffee grounds, garden, and spice. Not overly ripe or concentrated with a subtle bitter balance. Curious to see what day 2 is like. Good value candidate for cellaring though I wouldn’t hate a bit more acidity. — a month ago

2018 vintage. Medium-body. Needs another 3-4 years to drop the bully attitude and false bravado, revealing a delicate and gentle soul beneath. Will likely pick up a case next week as the pricing is pretty good for this 1er Cru and effort. 01.09.25. — 23 days ago
