The last vintage from the master Gerard Potel and what a lovely bottle it was. Fresh, elegant, floral and perfectly mature, though with plenty of life left, and the perfect balance of tertiary expression and fruit purity. Pousse d’or with age rarely disappoints. — 5 years ago
Sweet generous Volnay red fruit with accompanying high acidity again reminding me of a Williams Selyem RRV style. Just enough earth and gamey Burgundian aromas to keep it interesting and definitely Old World. Drinking great at 18 if a little bloody at times. — 8 years ago

Consistent notes! The taint blew off and this was ethereal for about an hour, then faded sadly, like a loved one. — 2 years ago
Juicy and fun, tasty on a hot summer night — 5 years ago
Light, crisp, delicate - light alcohol taste. 12.5% Serve chilled! — 7 years ago
Nicolas Potel has always done very elegant and understated wines with lots of complexity. This one is no different. Elegant rather than powerful, cherry, rose fannee, violets, really velvety tannins on an incredibly balanced grand cru that is a pleasure to drink or can be hold for some time. Lacks a tiny bit of body for a Clos de Beze hence the score. Highly recommended. — 8 years ago

Very intense and pure and delicious. Pure. Still quite contained and not showing much. — 6 months ago
