Réserve Brut Champagne Blend

Tasted over Christmas 2024. My first time trying Pol Roger, and a really great experience – this was a tick above many of the Grandes Marques and I found it to be quite refined. I suspect the dosage is fairly high, since it was so very drinkable, but no complaints from me! — 14 days ago

Brut Rosé Champagne Blend 2018

2018 vintage. Fresh with excellent body and a wild, herbaceous woodsiness. Decidedly different, yet appreciated as such. The 2015 is Rembrandt. This 2018 is Picasso. 4.20.24. — 9 months ago

Carson Ridge

Reserve Estrella District Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

Paired with barbecue per Total Wine's recommendation. Paired really well. All your favorite cab sauv notes, soft tannins really make you come back for more sips. Would drink again! — 4 months ago

Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill Brut Champagne 2012

Yes.
Its exact composition is a “closely-guarded” family secret, but would assume 60-75% Pinot Noir / 25-40% Chardonnay. 2012 is in a great spot now (+13 years), but it could clearly be set aside for another 5-10+ years to develop even more. Dense, medium+/full-bodied, complex, layered, and simply damn delicious. The SWC will likely always remain my absolute favorite (particularly in strong vintages such as this 2012). Cheers to 2025!

Serrat

Close Planted Yarra Valley Grenache 2016

Quite light in colour, light crimson - transparent. Sweet red fruits - strawberry and raspberry, savoury overtones. Possibly the lightest table wine Grenache I’ve ever had. When you compare this to Rayas or Bonneau Celestins you realise what a chameleon Grenache can be. Serrat is the personal side project of Yabby Lake winemaker, Tom Carson. Only 580 bottles produced. See previous Delectable note in August 2022. — 8 months ago
