Lots of berry jam, oak and spice. Will be fabulous with a tomahawk for NYE! — a month ago
Double decanted two nights before service. The 2013 Insignia pours a deep garnet color with an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with significant staining of the tears and some signs of sediment. On the nose, the wine is developing but still quite youthful with notes of tart and ripe dark fruit: dense brambles, purple flowers, tobacco, vanilla and baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. At 11 years of age, this remains tightly coiled and needs more time to open up and tell more of its story. All that being said, this is very good now…but to my palate, better after 2027 and through 2043. — 3 months ago
Fairly good for a Sonoma Pinot - well balanced. Not a ton of oak — 2 months ago
Deep ruby coloration. On the nose, dark cherry, chocolate, coffee. On the palate, lots of berries, chocolate, oak, vanilla, warm spices, strong tannins. Full body. Medium finish. — 3 months ago
Ruby red color with aromas of ripe fruits and baking spice, sourced from several vineyards, the wine was aged for 15 months in 55% new and 45% 2-3 year French Oak. On the palate flavors of strawberry and ripe plum with vanilla, baking spice, lively acidity and fine tannins. Long finish, nice mouthfeel, ending with warming cedar spice character. — 4 months ago

Sadly let this sit too long. Overly aged but not terrible. Definitely reason notes and fuller body. Would be interested to try again and drink younger… — 2 days ago
