This 2022 was correct and energetic, but the 2016 was maderized. — 8 months ago
This smell and tastes more Northern Rhône than the vast majority of Walla Walla Syrahs I’ve had. Nose is smoky, iron-y, bloody, with spicy sharp blackberry in the background. Relatively (for Walla Walla) lean and savory in the mouth, it’s got surprisingly good acidity. Should go well with the steak I’m about to grill outside. — 3 years ago

Butter, cream, macadamia nuts, pear, caramelized sugar. A bit too much oak monster for me but is quite delicious — 2 years ago

All concrete-y transparency for bright true flavors. — 8 months ago
First note: black pepper galore. As it opens the pepper dissipates, leading to dried flowers and chalky earth. Under-notes of cherry. Great acidity with moderate tannins. — 2 years ago

Could this be the best value I’ve ever tasted? It’s right up there. Sweet purple fruits, mineral backbone, grilled meat. A lovely lavender note; both dried and fresh, excellent length on the finish. I love lower ABV Syrah that is not underripe; 12.5%. Does have some tannin; I’m interested to revisit in 3-5 years. From Fass selections — 18 days ago
