Pure expression of Syrah. Spice. One of a case bought EP and shows the value when you go hunting in the Rhone and trust the producer. — 6 months ago
This 2023 is an affordable “ Brother” of the northern Rhône. All about light bodied freshness and nuance, hints at it s big brothers in Crozes Hermitage. Will be a delightful picnic wine as the warmer weather arrives. Under $20 a bottle. — a year ago
Interesting red with bright fruit and barn yard funk. Paired well with my pork loin and oriechette with mushroom Bolognese. — 3 years ago
Sweet dark fruits, leather, smoke with some roasted meat. — 6 years ago

soft, sweet syrah, not dry at all from Washington Walla walla valley @ Bardot Brasserie in the Aria — 5 months ago
Beautiful cool climate Syrah, poised and with finesse.
Black fruit on the nose with some leather accents, an uplifting flower note and a pinch of black pepper. Fresh, enticing, witht nice purity.
Quite light on the palate, poised, almost delicate. Nice flow & definition here with purity and a bit of depth. The typical Syrah notes come forward more towards the back.
More in the Pinot camp than Chateauneuf & is drinking beautifully right now. — 8 months ago
Okay with rack of lamb ($19) — 3 years ago
This smell and tastes more Northern Rhône than the vast majority of Walla Walla Syrahs I’ve had. Nose is smoky, iron-y, bloody, with spicy sharp blackberry in the background. Relatively (for Walla Walla) lean and savory in the mouth, it’s got surprisingly good acidity. Should go well with the steak I’m about to grill outside. — 4 years ago

Basically 97% of a Côte Rotie at 1/4 the price. Just a lovely piece of work. All that time in the bottle didn’t hurt — 4 months ago

A delightful white wine! Fresh and lively. We enjoyed it on Christmas Eve with Seared scallops & garlic-herb risotto. — 3 years ago
Still hard to believe this is a Syrah! Feel like this is a combination of a Pinot, Merlot and maybe Syrah. Very limited pepper in this with tons of fruit-forward flavors. Highly recommend this and if you ever get to hear Doug Frost in person recommending this wine it is well worth it. — 4 years ago
Goood wine!

It's sharp. Dark fruit (a plum for sure) and leather. Short oaky finish. — 6 years ago

Consistently excellent; my first of the 2023; typical bramble fruits, black pepper on the nose, palate intense blackberry and blueberry, a little bacon fat on the back end , good intensity and ripe tannins; I think this will improve in 3 years or so but really enjoyable right now; consumed over 3 days; held up and softened on day 3. — 8 days ago
