Lemon / pear on the palate. Less oak than in the past (a good thing) so a cleaner Chardonnay. February 2023. — 3 months ago
Similar to the 2018 but seemingly more fruit. Melon and pear are really dominating, no complaints here. A little fizzante. Strong minerality helps it linger on the palate. Definitely a food wine. — 3 months ago
Quite stony on the nose , green apple , wet wool. On the palate fills out well with more green fruits , apple , pear and quince with a creamy , slightly waxy character to go with the flinty , saline and stony notes . Good balanced acidity and decent , honey tinged finish . Enjoyable now though will age well over the next 10 -15 years or so . — 3 months ago
Better than my last btl showing pear, citrus, mineral, white flower with good acidity. — a month ago
This has apple, pear, and citrus notes. It has a sparkling mouth feel, is light bodied. It is a slightly sweeter wine than most the other wines we’ve tried but still acidic — 3 months ago
A wine from Jorge Ordóñez and his winemaking team. Pale lemon with crisp stone fruit and citrus aromas. On the palate apple, pear and melon flavors with lemon citrus, consistent offering from La Cana. Medium finish ending with fruit, spice and mineral tang. Nice value. — 4 months ago
Sipping Fine Wine
Charles "Champagne Charlie" Heidsieck was one of the first to recognize the importance of the U.S. as a Champagne market. A blend with 40% reserve wines, fruit and floral bouquet, with orange blossom & yeasty notes. Fine bubbles, nice mousse, showing quality. Outstanding rich flavors of apple, pear and biscuit, well balanced, good structure, creamy. Long finish ending with toasty nutty oak & mineral notes. — 3 days ago
