Ravera Barolo Nebbiolo 2011

Don’t always love Nebbiolo, but maybe just drinking the wrong ones (or drinking them too young). This was delicious, fruit notes on front with drier, full bodied finish — 12 days ago

Gabutti Barolo Red Blend 2013

Medium ruby color. Aromas of cherry, cranberry and spices (clove). Smooth, cherry flavors with a hint of licorice. Solid Nebbiolo.

San Valentino Sangiovese Blend 2015

Alex deftly decanted by glads with Vinturi Aerator. This rich blend of Sangiovese, Sagrantino and Montepulciano fills the palette. Sour cherries, salty bacon, scraped leather, lasting finish. Paola Bea, a master of Umbrian wine! — 3 years ago

Rio Sordo Barbaresco Nebbiolo 2018

Closing the night during the fifth set of Sinner victory at the Melbourne Tennis Open

No need to wait, tannin is solved
Great concentration in the glass
Not heavy though

Super enjoyable and definitely drank in good company and a fantastic historical evening for Italian tennis 💥💥💥

A great result for the 22 year old Sinner. Many more Grand Slam titles in the future for this worthy champion.

Barbaresco Nebbiolo 2017

Village Barbaresco (100% Nebbiolo) from various vineyards - including fruit from the prestigious Ovello, Montestefano and Rio Sordo crus. Perfumed and ethereal, quite fruit-forward on the nose with aromas of cherry, rose petal, pine needles and earthy notes and a whiff of tar. Juicy, slightly rustic on the palate with flavors of crunchy red fruit (cherry, cranberry), licorice. Quite dry, slightly harsh tannins (drinking this very young). High acidity. Pairs great with mushrooms — 2 years ago

Riserva Rio Sordo Barbaresco Nebbiolo 2011

Last had 2 years ago. In a good place, not sure what more time will yield. Decanted a couple hours and paired with fennel rubbed pork chops. Quite seamless. Really nice fruit and a long finish with a nice acid / mineral / saline core that provides for a long finish and makes it a great food wine. — 2 months ago

Unreal. Even got lavender on this one. Give it at least 90 minutes to decant. Wowza. — 8 months ago
