A quick half bottle before our dinner reservation and a great choice it was!
Young, fresh, fruity (same applies to Marta! π)
Tasting notes: red currant, raspberry, cinnamon and a little smoky.

Always a good pick!!! β 20 days ago
Medium ruby garnet , with medium thin garnet ruby rim. This is quite closed at first , needs some time in the glass . Quite somber and dark fruited , with anis , dry spice and porcini , black tea. Quite meaty and deep . On the palate this is more generous , with quite rich saline edged dark fruits , currants , black tea and porcini . Quite fresh acidity and quite noticeable grippy tannins . Long and really quite intense on the palate , spiced saline finish . Even though there are lots of tertiary notes, there is great freshness and grip on the palate , itβs long and saline. Certainly improved with time in the glass and overall this shows pretty well at the moment. From now and over the next 5-10 years . β a month ago

Super Tuscan blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (58%), Cabernet Franc (29%) and Merlot (13%). Dark ruby color. Aromas of red and black fruit, anise, purple flowers and leather. Flavors of black cherry/plum/berry fruit, black licorice, cocoa powder and sweet baking spices. Lovely mineral and minty tones on the long and lingering finish. Silky tannins and a velvety texture. Loaded with finesse and wonderful freshness. Enjoyed with Petey and Kase (Thanks Guys) on the beach in Cape May, NJ. β 7 days ago
Sommelier recommended Barolo, which was definitely the right course of action picking our way through a wine list in Capri!
Excellent selection. Light, delicate, very subtle fruit notes and taste. Earthy, leathery with red fruits.
Passed our usual βtestββ¦. we had to slow ourselves down from drinking it too fast π

20 years in the makingβ¦. Blackberries, spicy cedar, fig, cigar, truffles and old leather. Dark ruby, medium to heavy bodied, strong tannins, high acidity that pairs well with a smoky, fatty steak. Love it! β 5 days ago
Pours a medium, slightly faded garnet rim, opening with an intense and highly expressive nose showing advanced tertiary evolution. On the palate, it exhibits a firm, full-bodied structure driven by ripe, integrated tannins and a distinctly mature, savory depth. The texture remains smooth, carrying through to a finish with harmonious spicesβa fully evolved bottle to be consumed in the very near future. β a month ago
Year in, year out, this is my fav Chianti Classico. To me it captures all what I look for in a good every day Sangiovese - freshness, a bit of tannic edge, juicy flow, a savory sweetness to the fruit. And food friendliness!
Enticing nose with red cherries, a bit of wet undergrowth & turned earth, a bit of tomato leaf, a flowery whiff. Joyful!
Medium bodied on the palate with great energy & flow. The tannins present, a touch rustic, but in a nice way, the acidity juicy & vibrant. Nice depth and long finish.
So drinkable but also has some seriousness to it.

Special evening with friends. Well balanced smooth finish β 25 days ago
Clear, medium ruby in color; on the nose, it's clean with pronounced primary and secondary aromas of raspberries, balsamic, and wood smoke; on the palate, it's dry, with high acidity, high tannins, medium body, high alcohol, and pronounced primary and secondary flavors of red currant, cherries, and clay pots with a long finish. This wine is balanced and complex. Overall, I rate this wine as very good. Nellie likes it too. β a month ago
