Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. This estate owes its name to Connetable Talbot, the English general & governor of the province of Guyenne who was defeated at the famous Battle of Castillon in 1453. Deep Ruby color, with aromas of black fruits, herb, tobacco and earthy notes. On the palate flavors of plums and black currants with cacao and tobacco spice, on a well balanced frame. Fine tight tannins, long finish ending with fruit, earthy spice and cedar character. Nice! — 8 months ago
One of the best English sparkling ice ever tasted. With every penny. Light fruity, bubbly, delicious — 4 years ago
Rich and multi-layered, this English sparkling shows all the hallmarks of the finest NV champagne with toasted brioche, baked apple and lemon zest cut along a lean, energetic profile that’s incredibly enjoyable. Medium bodied with moderate acidity, it finishes long and benefits from some time in the glass. Should age quite nicely for the next few years. Excellent stuff. — 6 years ago
I bought a 1000ml bottle of this gin and it's nearly gone. Monkey 47, when served with Fever Tree Refreshingly Light Tonic, is a stunningly fresh, lively, complex and intriguing drink - no guest has ever been satisfied with just one. It's a hell of a gin. Aromatic and arresting, the myriad herbs that comprise Monkey 47 each play their note in the orchestra that is this gin. I'm English and I like London gins, and perhaps I'm lacking loyalty by loving this Black Forest beauty, but so be it. This Monkey's Gone to Heaven. — 7 years ago

Yes thats the one,Whoah ! Aged several years this is like a mellow tawny port. Raisins, prune, toffee, and tobacco. Put some of these away in your cellar and forget about them. — 8 years ago

Crips, citrus, acid forward. Good cider that goes well with food — 7 years ago
English bubbles. Strawberries and cream! Underripe strawberries, creamy strawberry spread on the nose. Chalky. Pink lady/Fuji Apple type crisp on the palate. Strawberry short bread finish. Very solid. Nice wine, @Mark Flesher . — 7 years ago
Smooth on the nose and entry, expands and develops to lasting finish — 8 years ago
Quite a nice #englishsparklingwine featuring the classic #chardonnay #pinotnoir and #pinotmeunier blend. Evolved balance between a racy lemony-style and a richer yeasty and brioche cuvée. Lovely 🍾 but for the same price seems like there are so many equally good if not better choices across the English Channel in Champagne.

50% Pinot Noir 30% Chardonnay 19% Pinot Meunière and interestingly 1 % Pinot Gris. Extremely fine mousse. On the nose and palate Citrus and Granny Smith apple - very refreshing. Chalky soils. Many tasters would pick this as French in a blind tasting. The trouble is by the time this gets to Australia the price is similar to an average NV Champagne so to the average buyer the Champagne is the safe bet but make no mistake these are first class Sparklers. — 3 years ago
Waitrose. Delightful English white. Melon and peach, grassy and zesty freshness to it, slight acidity to cut through things but without lingering. — 6 years ago
At the home of Dean and Margy Glasgow who have a share in Digby. Very similar to a good French Champagne and compared to Nyetimber. Bready aromas with Citrus. Good intensity and length developing complexity at 9 years. Very impressive. — 7 years ago
Perfectly solid and well made. Not particularly exciting. — 7 years ago
Very good, a tad sweet but not too much — 9 years ago
