Dense boysenberry in color: nose of blackcurrant, spice and a little licorice; lovely texture of fully ripe fruit that’s bright with just enough supporting tannin. SQN always so solid. — 2 years ago
A very energetic mouthful, somehow ripe and pulling it own weight (with acidic towing equipment) so you don’t feel the weight but you know it has a body, like me in an empire waist dress. Zingy ripe raspberry makes friends with preserved lemon while white toast and white pepper duel it out as to who is the loudest (but not the whitest we know the toast wins that). Really a delicious steal from Tasmania. — 7 months ago
Celebration time! The hubby is OFFICIALLY full professor. Got the letter from the university prez today. So to celebrate: cava brute nature. Aroma of pear with a dash of almond.. Zesty taste of lime, green apple, seashell and chalk. A little bitter at the end but I still like it. Good on its own or would be good to make cocktails out of. — 3 years ago
Syrah on another logical level. A pure barnstormer. Never tasted a Syrah like this before! Very atypical for the varietal. Perfectly weighted, and so compact. Sandalwood interplay’s with dark chocolate, blueberries and cinnamon.
WNH NY 2021. I think @Bill Bender coughed up the king’s ransom for this gem. Can’t thank you enuf, Bill! — 3 years ago
My dessert wine for my annual CC hosting.
I’ve only had a handful of SQN dessert wines, as well as Kracher wines, so I was curious how this would show with 16yrs on it.
Almost amber colored in the glass. 100% marsanne. Honeyed peach and orange marmalade aromatics with sweet baking spices too. Decadent and viscous crème brûlée, orange roasted cashews, and toffee notes that while sweet, doesn’t come across as too sweet or intense. Not zippy, but not flabby either. No rush here. An absolute treat to enjoy. — 2 years ago
A sublime pour from FLX Table. The ripe red and black fruit and sweet oak are perfectly integrated but both pure in their own right. Silky texture, vibrant, concentrated, and long. I’m not normally a fan of Syrah so this blew my mind 🤯🤩🤯 — 3 years ago

This is one of the sexiest thing you can ever taste in your glass.
So fresh and young. The alcohol and the concentration are super integrated, making it so drinkable and extremely pleasant. Would love@to try this in 20+ year from now. — 6 months ago
