Au Paradis Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

2013 vintage. Decanted and tasted after two hours. Medium body. Leaning heavily towards a feminine-styled Cabernet and has dropped nearly all of the braggadocio of youth. As mentioned with another reviewer @Jay Kline not even close to being as exciting as the producer’s Les Pavots bottling and fairly one-dimensional. More than a bit disappointing given the initial acclaim. 05.29.25. — 8 days ago

Don’t drink a ton of spirits, but I do sample them when the occasion arises. This was pretty good, very balanced and of course smoothish.

Les Cailloux du Paradis (Claude Courtois)

Racines Vin de pays du Loir-et-Cher Red Blend 2020

Interesting wine, 13 grapes, natural without being annoying. Opens up nicely. Not overly heavy, nice balance. Fresh with good acid. Good suggestion from the fine folks at Joe Beef in Montreal, and a good pairing with the very rich food here. — a month ago

Les Grangeons de l'Albarine

Altesse en "Paradis" Roussette du Bugey White Blend

fun alpine sipper—not super integrated but lots of very crunchy, earthy stuff. razor sharp acidity, lemon pith, and some more decadent hazelnut flavors swirling around in there. a little too steep on the price for me ($45) but still very lovely on a hot saturday evening. — 10 months ago
