Nose has ripe blueberry, over-ripe blackberry, ripe plum, blackberry jam, faint anise, dry cigar, faint wood smoke and a bag of green & red peppers.
Palate has ripe plum, blackberries, black cherry, prune, old chocolate, faint moist earth and light artificial sugar.
Incredibly smooth, light tannins, but what an amazing red blend! Such an easy drinker, but coupled with a great CA vintage, a total win.
Cleaned the grill today, never ever done this in March in the Berkshires! Clean grill and warm weather equals an early start to the grilling season; beef flap steak from Kinderhook Farm (Valatie, NY) tonight, 135°F with 15m rest, beautiful pair to this wine.

This is the Rose. Fun. Great first installment. Low alc. with a slight sweetness to it. What could be better on a hot summer day (they hit SF from time to time). — 6 days ago
Ripe pear, white flower, citrus zest, ocean salinity, damp slate. Broad texture and gorgeous acid gives a backbone that has plenty of life left. Fantastic food wine. Marcus Goodfellow delivers yet again...per usual. — 6 days ago
Very solid effort here - 100% Counoise from Central NJ. Yes, the Rhône varietal has verve (acidity) with balance! Medium weight with a feminine bent. Perfect with house lamb burgers w/feta and Tzatziki topping. elderberry and black cherry mango in a Pinot style format. Delish! Easily five more years left in the bottle :) — 12 days ago

Although this is 50/50, the Carignane force is strong in this one. That classic, earthy sour plummy fruit takes the lead, with a noticeable note of American oak. In the mouth, it’s got the buoyancy of the Carignane and terrific fruit density. Dry, nice acid balance, little tannin. I like this a lot. — 2 days ago
