It may be infanticide, but a 11-14” snow/ice storm called for hasty judgment.
Deep grapey sanguine nose at first with a hint of something red poking around the edges. With meatloaf, perfect. The Cornas filled up any and all empty spaces left by the entrée. Big and muscular at first, but never overwhelming, built with fine tannins and a refreshing acidity filled finish. A peek at the bottle reveals 12.5°, lighter than thought going in, but not surprising, especially as it airs and a more pronounced red fruited quality emerges from the black. If you’ve got some and can wait…do so.
A highly rewarding bottle on a snowbound night.

Light, fresh, & ethereal - but still nicely rustic - apricot, very light grapefruit, mineral structure — 7 years ago
Great value Bordeaux for $21 a little bit on the dry side, but opens up nicely after about 30 minutes paired well with beef — 2 months ago
Vintage 2010 | 15 y old and still fruit, always a bit sturdy - which I like - good balanced for the long haul and now drinking perfect. If all Bordeaux would be this good… paired with a beef schnitzel and red cabbage apple mint cole slaw. — 8 months ago
I did not have high hopes for this one especially after paying $7.50. However, this is a well-structured wine! Very dark and really good. I wished I had bought more. — 2 years ago
Nose of lemon and some spice. This is discreet and fresh. The palate is very well designed with a strong acid drive, a good tension, a nice width and some weight on the sides,a good grip, almost a chalky mouthfeel. A very long finish with refreshing citrus note and the same spices. This is great! More of that! — 6 years ago

2022 vintage. Another delicious 2022 Bordeaux that sells for a song. — 3 months ago
Love it! First Bordeaux or even old world wine I have tried. A lot more subtle and earthy than anything I have tried from the new world. — 3 months ago
In a great place. Nose is all yellow fruits, gras and that unique St. Peray minerality. It’s got teeth. Almost some exotic french desert aroma. So interesting. Palate is explosive and juicy with perfect balance and fantastic freshness. Almost tannic finish. This has blossomed with some short term aging. — 6 months ago

This was as good as cab franc gets outside the right bank in Bordeaux. Very elegant, dense, mineral. Very very long in the mouth. Outstanding. — 18 days ago
