Vieilles Vignes Morey-Saint-Denis Pinot Noir 2022

Way too young but it will develop into something quite remarkable! Bit darker than your average red Burgundy, wild strawberries, cherry, black raspberries, black tea, liquorice and spices. Highly concentrated and delicious. — 11 days ago

Too young, but still delicious. Blue and black fruits, nice tannic structure. Will improve over the next 5+ years. Enjoyed at Mooo in Boston. — 3 months ago

@Byron Hewett Hello Byron. I assume you meant 2021. Did you find this wine reflected the lighter vintage? Many are saying back to “traditional Burgundy “ after the warmer vintages from 2015.

I did mean 2021. My experience with’21 is that it isn’t necessarily lighter. The frost, hail and other pressures dramatically reduced the crop, but most of the wines made are still quite good. Better care in the vineyard, and careful selection of grapes made a huge difference. This wine was no shrinking violet!

Very good for the level but could use a couple years to wind down the clenching palate
