Smooth and rich, with intense fruit and well-balanced acidity and sweetness. Still some noticeable tannin. Should be opened an hour early to breathe. Eaten with pot roast. Very enjoyable. — 3 months ago
“A labor of love”, as described by the savior of the ancient Maury vines and wine broker Kimberly Jones, the courier truly bewitches the mind and ensnares the senses. This rich, flavorful potion is made from 70 year old Grenache wines and 100 year old Carignan vines. Delectable notes of stewed strawberries and black fruits tickle your nostrils as black plum, ripe raspberry, and dried herbs smoothly settle on your palet. Rich flavors of vanilla and leather follow suit. Would pair beautifully with roasted meats or dishes seasoned with rich and earthy spices like cumin or allspice. — a year ago
En mag. No notes. This is probably the last time we drink this as my uncle might eventually pull out of the project. We had it along a chapon (eunuch chicken, for lack of a better way to describe it) and it went super well. Potatoe pumpkin purée, chestnuts, prunes, apple purée... This was a great Christmas lunch and a great wine to complement it. The wine is grenache forward with licorice and black fruits. Very good maury sec. — 4 months ago

👁️ Wonderful pale tawny colour.
👃 Deep aromas of confites dates, Agent prunes, toffee and torrefied black coffee
👄 Similar aromas found on the nose. Extremely seducing, rich and powerful.

2012 vintage. 100% Grenache Noir from very old vines, planted in 1914. Aged partly (20%) in new oak. Not overly sweet, with amazing freshness, complexity, and an intriguing minerality. Serious length too. Great value. — a month ago
