Very fruit forward. Easy drinking and approachable, but not as complex as I had hoped. — 5 years ago

Loads of black pepper on the nose, with hints of clove, eucalyptus, and plum. Black pepper carries through to the palate with the addition of sour cherries, black tea, slate, and a nice chalkiness. Decent acidity and a medium finish. Overall, an interesting and layered wine; one that would shine better with food rather than on its own. — 5 years ago
Nose was a bit stunted after first pouring from the coravin but still had nice, funky, earthy notes of fall leaves and forest floor. The nose opened up dramatically over the next hour, giving off a perfumed, floral bouquet, with hints of plum, game, and spice. Tannins are still firm but not overpowering. Palate hits you with slightly under-ripe cherry, plum, leather, and pepper. — 5 years ago

Fruit, tobacco, leather, and slate on the nose. Chewy, ripe red fruit with a bit of prune. The tannins are still strong but not overly so. — 5 years ago
Strong barnyard aromas gave way to maraschino cherries with vanilla and orange peel on the nose. The palate follows through with great red fruit, slight cocoa, and a bit of vanilla and candied fruit. This wine has a nice, long finish and firm tannins.

Not uninteresting but not the most elegant Pinot. Quite astringent, with an odd, but interesting smoky element. — 5 years ago
Great bell paper and herbaceous notes complement this wine’s red fruit and nice acidity. A steal at $35. — 5 years ago

*tasted with somewhat congested nose due to allergies* 45 min decant. Medium garnet color, showing more brick-red than I would expect for the age. Very meaty with slight red currant and strawberry on the nose. Palate of milk chocolate, raspberries, under-ripe strawberries, leather, and tobacco. Medium + tannins. Medium + acidity. The acidic backbone of the wine makes it good with food. — 5 years ago
