I love this fruity sparkling mango wine from Trader Joe’s! — 5 days ago
Nose has saccharin dusted lemon peel, Clementine zest, damp chalk, blackcurrant foliage, wet lemons and warm, under-ripe pineapple.
Palate has lemon rind, canned Mandarin orange, clay pottery, red table grapes, under-ripe mango with mild, bitter notes on the finish. Good acidity but seems to fade with air.
This producers AC Chablis seems to be falling out of favor with my palate, but my wife is loving it. 🤷🏻♂️ — 12 days ago
Cool, crisp, oozing with slatey, steely minerality. Ripe lemons, limes, underripe mango, a touch of star fruit.
On the palate this is pure energy, zippy acidity, salty minerality, so pure & focused. Yet there’s a hint of creaminess on the palate, adding a velvety touch to the Rheingau austerity. Delicious stuff!
This is so good!!
And so drinkable this young, while the GG wait for their time. — 4 days ago
A blend of 53% Sauvignon Blanc, 46% Semillon and 1% Muscadelle, medium lemon color with aromas of tropical and stone fruits adding some herb citrus notes. On the palate flavors of peach, mango and citrus with and white floral notes, lively acidity. Long finish ending with ripe fruit and mineral tones. Nice, tasting sample. — 11 days ago
From a hot vintage this explodes in the glass with ripe peach, pineapple & mango with some baked lemons and a healthy dose of steely rocky minerality. There’s a hint of creaminess, too.
On the palate this is also slightly richer, opulent, almost Mediterranean (think: Assyrtiko).
Round & ripe with peach, mango and some orange zest with juicy herby acidity balancing it all out. Chamomile and a whiff of honey and some crushed rocks towards the long finish.
Although fully Trocken, in this vintage this is much closer to a Spätlese in style.
I do prefer my Rheingau Rieslings drier, sharper, zippier & leaner, but this one has charm and character.
And it‘s delicious sipping. — 24 days ago
