Raveneau really nailed this vintage. A difficult growing season and minimal yields have nonetheless produced a stunning MDT, immensely generous, expressive and multidimensional wafting a floral, citrusy-spice inflicted bouquet layered in pastry cream and stony Chablisen minerality. The palate is magnificently textured, concentrated, long and voluptuous, slightly lower in acidity as 16’s can be, but still with plenty of power, tension and balance that belies the vintage norm. MDT is a tremendous success in 2016. Raveneau is king. 💛 — 16 days ago
This seems fresher than the 1989 Butteaux (plus, the entire cork, in 3 distinct pieces, came out of the bottle), color is light/medium gold, but fruit doesn’t show the depth of the 1989 Butteaux, both are still alive and solid (at 35 YEARS!?!?), but this Chapelot is fresher, while the Butteaux is fatter/richer, thus I’ll give each the same score! — 8 days ago
Encore très très jeune …. — 17 hours ago
Lemon and flinty aromas and flavors, great acidity, great complexity and depth, even at 35 years old, as I always say, Raveneau is singular, super long, lingering finish, great Chablis 1er Cru!!!
I am down to my last 18 bottles of 1988-1990 Raveneau, but these are incredible wines bought on release at criminally inexpensive prices (compared to today), but Francois made INCREDIBLE Chablis!!! — a month ago
Color is medium-dark golden, cork simply didn’t want to come out of the bottle, this smells like an old Raveneau, with sweet buttery fruit, still showing some minerality and good balancing acidity, medium-weight, riper vintage, solid finish, very good 1er Chablis! — 8 days ago

From Williston Park Wines and Spirits. Incredibly dark and thick. Over-ripe raspberries, blackberries, currants, dough (like pie dough maybe), would hit right in the winter despite the 🧜♀️ imagery lol — 15 hours ago
