Ted fruit with vanilla and some earthiness — 2 years ago
For more than 75 years, the Martini family winemakers have crafted wines from Sonoma and Napa counties. Michael Martini, 3rd generation carries on the tradition. 100% Cab, aged in French oak (75% new) for over 2 years. Deep Ruby, aromas of red/black fruit, complex spice with smoky notes. Flavors of blackberry and currants with an earthy character adding a array of spices. Fine tannins, opening nicely, long finish, ending with notes of fruit, cacao & tobacco. Still has room to age. — 3 years ago
Dark purple color that's almost black.
Subtle on the nose, some notes of birch sap and autumnal berries.
Chocolatey richness on the palate, medium tannins and some lingering acidity that finishes smoothly. — 6 months ago
This 11 year old Napa Cabernet is delicious now. Rich and elegant.
Complex nose with lots of black fruits. Really nice.
Showing blackberries, black currants, cooked cherries, cedar, vanilla, spices, coffee, dark chocolates, earth, tobacco leaf and herbs.
Easy drinking and good by itself or with food.
Good right out of the bottle, and better after 2 hours of airtime.
Will continue to age nicely in the next 5 years.
93 points.

Harnessing a warm vintage and making a DRY p/m….skills. While being a touch austere, this mineral & round-acid driven vintage worked well with food, which is the ultimate test! Muted tropical note of apricot & star fruit sang softy like a Thursday night at the jazz bar. — 2 years ago
2012 vintage. From the only other winery in Knights Valley besides that Peter Michael endeavor. This Beckstoffer To-Kalon/To Kalon/Tokalon/ToKalon (pick your interpretation-seen 'em all) goes for a older-school, much leaner approach vs the decided, new school, über-concentrated style as far as this vineyard is concerned. Goes even leaner than the older, vineyard incorporated Mondavi Reserves from the 80's/90's (which I would rate in the middle ground). All the way to the left for the history buffs. Tremendous concentration but on the dry, dusty, dirty side vs the biggie extracted ripe style in vogue the last decade+. Instructive and elucidating. Twere I doing a Tokalon Vineyard retrospective/blowout dinner, this wine would be first. 9.6.23. — 8 months ago
